He has held that role on an interim basis since June, when he replaced Harold Apple. Kansky previously served as IHIE's vice president of strategy and planning. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University, a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Washington, and an MBA from Indiana University.
Indianapolis-based Activate Healthcare, which operates employer health clinics, named Dr. Robert Mandel president of the Northeast Region. Mandel was most recently CEO of Health Dialog, a subsidiary of the Rite Aid drugstore chain. Before that, he was a senior vice president at the Blue Cross health plan in Tennessee. Mandel earned a bachelor’s degree at Princeton University, a medical degree at Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA at the University of Pennsylvania.
