She conveniently ignores the Declaration of Independence, generated by some of the same men, which refers to God and the Creator in the opening paragraphs. The declaration specifically says “unalienable rights” come from the Creator. It goes on to say that these rights are “secured” by government, and say that “ … governments are instituted among men … .”
