Why don’t they go back to the curriculum that was taught in the 1960s? My generation had no problem learning to read with a curriculum that included a strong phonics program and spelling as well.
You can’t continue to ask for more $ per student if they are actually educated! Reading, writing and arithmetic is the parents expectations, social engineering is the expectation for enlightened education class!
Sooner we get 50% homeschooling the sooner the enlightened class will pay attention. I won’t hold my breath, it is amazing how much we pay and how little we expect!
