The Cincinnati-based grocery chain intends to add four pickup lanes at the store at 150 W. 161st St., which has been recently renovated and expanded.
Kroger launched the online shopping program in August at its recently renovated Carmel store on Rangeline Road and plans to offer it at 10 stores in the state by the end of the year.
The program allows customers to place orders at www.kroger.com/onlineshopping and pick them up later during a designated time frame.
After the store receives an order, an employee gathers everything on the list and stores it in a temperature-appropriate area until the items are collected. A $4.95 fee is charged per order, but Kroger is waiving the cost for a customer’s first three orders. Payment is made at pickup.•
