Indianapolis Power & Light Co. was awarded PA Consulting Group’s 2015 ReliabilityOne award for being an outstanding midsize utility.
All similar-size utilities operating in North America were eligible for the award. IPL’s selection was based on system reliability statistics that measure the frequency and duration of customer outages.
“We are proud of our track record and the fact that IPL consistently ranks in the top 10 percent nationally in reliability,” said Joe Bentley, IPL’s vice president for customer operations.
IPL provides retail electric service to 480,000 customers in Indianapolis and central Indiana.•
