  1. Housing community developers within a couple miles of Morse Reservoir in Hamilton Co. didn’t have enough water to build after purchasing the land to develop. Some farmers in the area who don’t have expensive irrigation equipment also have experienced ground water shortages for their wells after other farmers nearby drew down ground water for irrigation.

    So we must be very careful about survey results from those wanting to profit by water transfers from one area to another. Coordination is a great idea so that everyone has water, with emphasis on “everyone”. Local farmers will have a tough time battling large developers and their friends in state government if push comes to shove.
