More than a quarter – 27.3 percent – of Ice Miller’s partners who have an ownership stake in the firm are women. That’s tops among the 180 firms that submitted data.
“Ice Miller’s heritage is built on a long-standing commitment to the principles of fairness and equal access,” said Byron Myers, chief managing partner, in a written statement.

In terms of total number of partners, including those who do not have an ownership stake, 32 of Ice Miller’s 119 partners – 26.9 percent – are women. That ranked it fifth among the top firms, according to the publication.
Two other Indianapolis-based firms, Baker & Daniels LLP and Barnes & Thornburg LLP, also were recognized.
At Baker & Daniels, 19.4 percent of the partners are women, placing it 111th. Barnes & Thornburg ranked 192nd at 16.5 percent.
