  1. Gina is an excellent reporter and will be a loss for WTHR! Makes you wonder what’s going on. I watch Channel 13 mainly due to their on air personalities. Other channels do a much better job in reporting a variety of different news.

  2. Don’t know who she is, never saw the woman, but good luck nonetheless. I’m all for local journalism, broadcast and print, but whether it’s this market or most others — as far as I can tell — mediocrity and just getting by will get you far. Let’s say the product of local broadcast journalism outlets and their various social media platforms are far from robust. WFYI-FM has the semblance of a local newsroom, WIBC used to, but they are mostly hard to listen to. Do they still have a newsroom? WISH is at least local — we’ll keep it at that. WTHR used to be an excellent operation until they went big corporate. In fact the last time I watched local tv news was Sunday night after the NFL game. Their lead story was about the Fever playoff game in Connecticut. The reporter there was poorly lit and out of focus the entirety of his report. Their next story was an extremely lame reporter shot at an empty bar where there was a Fever watch party much much earlier. Vacuous is not strong enough a description. There were a couple lame interviews and the reporter stupidly waved a pom-pom in the aforementioned bar — well there was someone cleaning up in the background. There are apparently no guardians at the gates these days. I know I’m off on a tangent, but it stuck with me how comically bad it is. I’m still with you IBJ and IndyStar. The rest of you? Do better!
