Party Chairman Jeff Cardwell announced the appointment Tuesday morning.
Buskill is the director of industry outreach for Conexus Indiana, a private-industry-led initiative focused on improving advanced manufacturing and logistics.
He previously worked as a consultant for clients including former Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, former congressman David MacIntosh, former state Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Bennett, Congressman Todd Rokita and Congresswoman Jackie Walorski
Buskill has also served as the director of business processes with the Indiana Department of Education.
Cardwell said Buskill had more than 20 years of experience in campaigning, fundraising and business development.
Buskill succeeds Carrie Petty, who spent seven months in the position. Petty, an executive with Petty Custom Homes, recently became state director of Ben Carson’s presidential campaign.
