Subscribe NowIndiana State Treasurer Richard Mourdock said the Supreme Court’s rejection of an appeal by a trio of Indiana pension and construction funds to block the sale of Chrysler to Fiat shortchanged secured investors. “I am disappointed to have learned that the U.S. Supreme Court has lifted the stay in the Chrysler bankruptcy case, thereby allowing the company to be acquired by the U.S. government so it may distribute its assets as it directs,” he said yesterday in a prepared statement. “The future ramifications of the court’s decision on the capital markets remain to be seen.”
