      My understanding is that outside of the loop, there are still standards and a permitting process that must be followed for new billboards. This just streamlines the process for relocations.

  1. How come Carmel doesn’t get targeted by the bill board industry? For as few billboards I’ve seen (I think it’s zero) in Carmel, I would think there would be some outcry from the industry being completely banned! They have the highest income house holds and US 31 has to have some huge daily traffic volumes.

    Oh… Wait, a gerrymandered Republican supermajority in the state legislature isn’t about doing what’s good for business, it’s all about owning us lib’s down here in Indy.
