It would be easier to say what he has done – which is nothing.
The headline to this story is entirely misleading. A survey to which 37 people replied not all of whom even live in the area and an unknown number who actually live in Fountain Square (Fletcher Place is a different neighborhood) does not merit saying that residents want change. How was this survey distributed? I certainly never saw it and I live in the neighborhood. And if this survey done in Fall 2023, why are we talking about it in 2025? This story is shoddy journalism.
The state legalization of CBD is the root of this. If pot is fully legalize, expect things like this to only get bigger.
I expect them to get smaller because as part of legalization, the legislature will claim that for our safety, we can only allow a few selected companies into the pot market who just-so-coincidentally have written them big campaign contribution checks (and probably wrote the legislation to begin with). They’ll be the only operations allowed. Wouldn’t surprise me if they were also given the CBD market too.
I mean, if legislators stopped favoring the people who donate to them, they might stop writing checks to legislators! That’d be a catastrophe we just can’t allow to happen if we expect Indiana to exist as a state.
