Fine idea. Terrible location and a waste of downtown real estate. What’s the point of tearing down a heliport and replacing it with something that will get even less public use?
If anything, it should have been part on the CSX site redevelopment and been included with that project.
The facility will be located at the former jail site not the heliport.
Thank you for the correction. If downtown real estate is so valuable … jails, heliports, and practice facilities for a pro sports team remain a poor use of it.
