I’m not surprised at all by this… they reached out to one of my companies before the 1st show here in Indy. They wanted us to be the food vendor for the entire event. I could tell Immediately that this company was a cluster. When we told them we had concerns about what they were trying to do and that we would need payment upfront we never heard from them again. They were so unprepared they thought they could just go to Sam’s club and buy the alcohol for the entire event and just serve it themselves.
It seems there is almost as many scam artists in the concert promotion business as there is in the financial services industry.
This is too bad because I think they really were onto something with this festival by providing a nice forum for alternative rock bands that don’t get the attention they deserve and utilizing the sometimes forgotten but lovely Garfield Park. If another group picks up this good idea and runs with it, I’ll be right back at the festival, just like I was for both years that it occurred.
