OneAmerica Financial Partners Inc. has hired Anthem Inc. executive Karin Sarratt as senior vice president and chief human resources officer, Indianapolis-based OneAmerica announced Thursday.
Sarratt, the vice president of human resources at Indianapolis-based Anthem, will join her new employer in September.
Sarratt will be responsible for all aspects of the OneAmerica’s human resources functions.
“Karin is an exceptional leader who has worked in diverse human resources roles in a variety of industries,” OneAmerica President and CEO Scott Davison said in a written statement. “Karin is widely recognized for building strong partnerships and working collaboratively to drive results with operational discipline.”
During Sarratt’s four-year tenure at Anthem, she led several human resources functions, including diversity and inclusion, talent management and talent acquisition.
Before joining Anthem, she worked for International Paper Co. for more than 14 years.
Sarratt currently serves as an executive board member for the Indiana Sports Corp., board chair for Forest Manor Multi-Service Center, and member of the UNCF Leadership Council for Indianapolis.
Sarratt was named a Woman of Influence by IBJ in 2013.
