The company has told state officials that its plant in the northeastern Indiana town of Grabill would be closed for an indefinite period.
The Allen Park, Mich.-based auto parts manufacturer did not give a reason for the closure, but it cited the loss of a major customer when announcing planned layoffs at another Indiana plant last month.
Meridian told Shelbyville officials last week that it was shutting down its 295-worker factory in that central Indiana city.
