Dear Dennis & Sandy,
Thank you for your encouraging letter and thank you for making it public before I had a chance to respond; I hope it will not take too long for you to realize your fears of the upcoming administration are unfounded.
You have asked that ALL people be treated fairly and as Donald and I have sworn (or will swear) to uphold the Constitution you have our word. I think you will find it refreshing that our administration plans to uphold ALL the laws of the country. We have common ground on religious freedom and the freedom of ALL people if you include the right of a parent to allow their children the safety from perversion in a public restroom and also the rights of unborn children. We are in complete favor of civility and harmony if you will allow us to also include the police officers of this country. We agree with you about bullying and would kindly ask that you and yours knock off the bused-in radicals that have tried to intimidate the election process.
As a Christian and a Hoosier I have often repeated the phrase, “One nation under God;” it has only been in recent years those heartfelt words have been politically incorrect and found to be offensive. So you can imagine my relief to hear you feel the same as I do.
In all my years of public service I have come to understand something: People will accuse you of that which they, themselves are guilty. Have a good day.
