A minor quibble: “… come out of the woodwork” seems like a derogatory metaphor. At least you didn’t refer to environmentalists in that way. (In fact, you didn’t use “environmentalists” in the editorial.)
It’s perplexing and disconcerting when the IBJ uses such an arguably snarky dismissive. I understand that you use colorful phrases on occasion to spice up content, but can’t you use a more apt metaphor to describe broad-based public outcry and mobilization on green issues?
