St. Vincent Health has leased a five-story north-side office building formerly occupied by Bridgestone Firestone Diversified Products LLC and is planning a major modeling project before moving workers in.

The health system filed an application Sept. 22 with the state, seeking to remodel 192,327 square feet of the Parkwood West Building, 250 West 96th St., for administrative offices.

Earlier this year, a St. Vincent spokesman confirmed the organization had leased space in the five-story building “to ensure our support service teams have the necessary space to meet current and future needs.”

The Parkwood West building is owned by Ambrose Property Group, which bought it last year for $47.8 million. Bridgestone Firestone is vacating the building as part of a corporate consolidation.•
