The housing market remains strong—and sales could surpass last year’s record—despite the low inventory of homes for sale, said F.C. Tucker President Jim Litten. Central Indiana has about 8,500 homes on the market currently, compared with 19,000 five years ago. “I think the market would be even better if there was more inventory,” Litten said. “There are a lot of people—with the rates so low—who would like to sell their homes. But they’re worried about finding a new one.”•
