Chavers on Wednesday announced her departure from the young professionals network she helped create in 2005.
She wrote in a blog post on IndyHub’s website that she plans to take the next few months “to assess what is next for me; where my passion lies and where I can best contribute.”
The board of directors is expected to establish a timeline and process for her departure within the coming weeks.
“There are not words to describe the incredible honor it’s been to serve IndyHub, and by extension, Indianapolis,” Chavers wrote. “Having a front row seat to this organization’s, and our city’s, evolution has been one of my greatest joys in life.”
IndyHub is a group that advocates for and connects young professionals in Indianapolis through different volunteer opportunities and social events. The organization has four full-time staff members, including Chavers.
Indianapolis-area not-for-profits recently have seen a spike in leadership turnover, with at least 80 organizations advertising for a new CEO, executive director or president since the beginning of 2017.
