As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowFrontier Airlines Holdings Inc. said on Monday it will close its reservations center in Las Cruces, N.M., where 118 people
work.
Frontier has another reservations center in Denver, where it is based. The airline is set to emerge from
bankruptcy protection on Thursday as a unit of Indianapolis-based Republic Airways Holdings Inc. Republic also recently bought
Midwest Airlines, which has its own reservations center in Milwaukee.
Frontier spokesman Steve Snyder said the
Las Cruces center is expected to close in mid-December. The workers there can apply for other Frontier jobs, and the company
will provide assistance to workers who want to move 670 miles north to Denver.
