Tipton County to reimburse for costs related to $560M plant

Expenses that DaimlerChrysler and Getrag Corporate Group are incurring related to their $560 million transmission plant going up in Kokomo will be reimbursed by Tipton County through the sale of bonds, according to an agreement between the parties. A story in yesterday’s Kokomo Tribune said the agreement was disclosed Monday after being approved by Tipton County commissioners; it must still be approved by other city and county groups. Included in items to be reimbursed for are the land and infrastructure development costs.
