With the NBA draft just a few hours away, the rumors are running rampant. Speculators have any number of players going to the Indiana Pacers. Some of the projected selections are sure to have fans at tonight’s draft party at Conseco Fieldhouse cheering, while others—if selected—will have fans of the blue and gold booing. Some selections could make fans grumpy despite the free chow handed out to the first 2,500 through the turnstiles.
It should be an interesting evening at Conseco Fieldhouse.
But booing fans aren’t always right. I’m sure you remember the reaction when the Pacers drafted Reggie Miller over Hoosier Steve Alford.
So here’s your chance to weigh in before the draft. Listed below are a number of players the Pacers could select with their draft picks at No. 11 and 17. Tell us if you think the selections below are worthy of booing or cheering.
Likely candidates at No. 11: Texas’ D.J. Augustin, Ohio State’s Kostas Koufos, Arizona’s Jerryd Bayless, West Virginia’s Joe Alexander, LSU’s Anthony Randolph.
Likely candidates at No. 17: Georgetown’s Roy Hibbert, Kansas’ Mario Chalmers, Texas A&M’s DeAndre Jordan, Stanford’s Robin Lopez, Florida’s Marreese Speights.
This is your chance to call the shots.
