A casting call is out, which means that summer Shakespeare will be returning to White River State Park. Heartland Actors Repertory Theatre, a professional company, is now auditioning actors to fill
out its Aug. 6-7 production of "Two Gentlemen of Verona."
This will be the third time HART will be taking to the park. Previously, it staged "The Merchant of Venice" and
"Much Ado About Nothing." The comedy "Two Gentlemen of Verona" will be the first HART production of 2010
and its first since a board shake up earlier this year.
The company has picked a busy downtown weekend. GenCon
will be in full swing, leaving me to think that "Two Gentlemen" could attract record crowds if this production were
set, say, in Middle Earth or on a moon of Saturn.
