Local senior-living complex more than doubles assisted-living units in $5M expansion
The TV in my hospital room at St. Vincent (don't worry, it's just gallbladder surgery) comes with a free on-demand
movie system that wasn't offered the last time I was a hospital patient. In fact, the last time I was a hospital patient
(at around age 3), I believe my parents were allowed to smoke in the waiting room.
Being here means not flying out to New York City tomorrow, where I had planned on reviewing a batch of recent Broadway
shows in time for the June 16 Tony Awards.
Yeah, I know. The on-demand movies don't quite make up for missing "Fela!" and "Milion Dollar Quartet,"
but what can you do? Assuming a speedy recovery, though, skipping the trip should allow me to take advantage of more of what Indy
is offering this week and next (Info you can find in my weekly e-mail blast. Not in the loop? Subscribe for free here.)
So, cultural tourists, here's your chance to rub it in. What Broadway shows have you seen this season? And what should
we be rooting for on the Tony Awards?
While I wait for your response, maybe I'll watch "Where the Wid Things Are" again. Or "The Invention of
Lying."
