By the looks of its recent audition announcement, Theatre on the Square's as-yet-unannounced season looks like an exciting one.
Among the ten shows being cast:
–"A Contemporary American's Guide to a Successful Marriage Copyright 1959," a romance told in the style of social guidance films of the 1950s.
–Christopher Durang's latest comedy "Why Torture is Wrong….And the People Who Love Them." Yes, you've read that correctly.
–The baby boomer musical "The Kids Left, The Dog Died. Now What?", which premiered in Philadelphia in 2009.
–"A Contemporary American's Guide to a Successful Marriage Copyright 1959," a romance told in the style of social guidance films of the 1950s.
–"Superior Donuts" from Tracy Letts (of "August: Osage County" fame)
–"Jerry Springer: The Opera." Use your imagination.
–"Red, White and Tuna"–another quick-costume-change tale from the small town of Tuna, Texas.
