Some news notes from all over the A&E front:
–Brown County's Coachlight Musical Theatre is changing its name to The Palace Theatre of Brown County. Included in the lineup of entertainers will be Robert Shaw's Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash tribute shows (which I reviewed at another venue here).
–On March 22, Adam Lambert will release his CD/DVD "Glam Nation Live." Why am I telling you this? Because he recorded it at Clowes Memorial Hall. Take a look here.
–If you want to catch up on the Best Picture nominees prior to the Oscars on Feb. 27, take a look at AMC's Best Picture Showcase Feb. 19 and 26. This time, Indiana theaters are participating. See schedule and details here.
–And, finally, Michale Kaiser, President of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (who joined me in an on-stage discussion about the state of the arts last year at Butler University)says that "The arts are in trouble because there is simply not enough excellent art being created." Full article here. Is it that simple?
