For me, the weekend included festivities celebratin the 30th anniversary of the Phoenix Theatre and a trip to the Cabaret at the Columbia Club to see Susan Egan (the original Belle in Broadway's "Beauty and the Beast."
I also spent time screening Heartland Film Fest films in preparation for a preview article and tag-team reading a bio of director Robert Wise and Michael Feinstein's new book on the Gershwins (More on both soon).
In the meantime, tell me what you experienced. Did you get to one of the other arts benefits, catch the last performance of "Dr. Jekyll & Mr Hyde," "Ain't Misbehavin'," "Closer," or "Gypsy." Or get out to the Lawn for the Avett Brothers?
What did you hear, see or do this weekend?
