An eastside theater built in 1926 is up for sale with an asking price of $145,000. The building at 4630 E. 10th Street in the Little Flower neighborhood houses the all-age local music venue known as The Emerson. A listing says the building has a seated capacity of 542 and room for another 400 standing. The listing notes the building's zoning allows for a variety of uses ranging from theater to nightclub, though a lease with the current tenant remains in place. The Emerson's voicemail box was full, and proprietor Dave Hess didn't immediately return an email message. The theater's website describes itself as: "Humanity's worst venue ever – Since 1993." The building owner is locally based Caligula LLC, which has a registered agent of Andy Berry, who could not be reached. The 5,000-square-foot building along 10th Street between Drexel and Bosart avenues has an assessed value of $102,400. The listing agent is Greg Hattenbach.
