Now that the ISO has a contract, it’s time to pick a show and go

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra has hit its contractually obligated fundraising goal (see story here)

So now what?

Well, now (if it is within your means), you should get tickets to a show.

Wait. What's that? You aren't sure what show to go to? 

"I've never been to a classical concert and need a place to start."

Then get thee to the March 22-23 performance of Beethoven's 5th.

"Strings is my things"

And apparently grammer isn't. But that's okay. Pick up tickets to the "The Romantic Violinist" featuring soloist Daniel Hope.

"My taste is on the operatic side"

Then don't miss opera great Thomas Hampson, performing Feb. 22.

"I love a piano"

Then you'll want to hear Behzod Abduraimov playing Chopin March 1-2.

"Anything with a little more edge?"

Hear what happens March9 when the ISO teams up with its new partner, the New Amsterdam artist group and label for a concer of music you've never heard before.

"Yes, but can you dance to it?"

You can when Dance Kaleidoscope joins the ISO for a family' concert March 10. 

"How about a drink with that?"

Samples of drink–and food–are served before the Happy Hour concert March 7.

"I want to make my kid feel like a slacker."

Then the Feb. 24 performance of the New World Youth Orchestra is for you. 

"You know, I don't really like classical music…"

No worries. Check out the Feb. 8-9 performance "The Best is Yet to Come: The Music of Frank Sinatra and More" featuring Montego Glover from Broadway's "Memphis."

"Even Sinatra is more esoteric for me."

Okay, then, go to the ABBA tribute March 15-17.

"To be honest, I'm kind of broke."

Then get a ticket to the free annual "Celebration of Black History" concert Feb. 5.
