Woodhouse Day Spa adding locations in Zionsville, Fishers

The Woodhouse Day Spa is tripling its central Indiana operations with the acquisition of locally based Villaggio Day Spa.

Woodhouse's Carmel franchise owners Terri and Dan Smith closed the Villaggio spas in Zionsville and Fishers at the time of the sale, but plan to reopen the facilities after some interior renovations.

The Zionsville site, in Weston Pointe Shoppes off Michigan Road north of 106th Street, is expected to begin operating as a Woodhouse Day Spa on Monday. (Woodhouse’s corporate website lists May 1 as the opening date.)

Construction is under way at the Geist Pavilion location, at 116th Street and Olio Road in Fishers. Terri Smith said the retail boutique will open May 1, and spa services will be available beginning June 1.

A former regional sales and marketing manager for Estee Lauder Corp., Smith opened her first Woodhouse Day Spa in Carmel in 2007.

"It's really been a great venture for us," she said.

Once the new acquisitions are up and running, Smith said, she'll turn her attention to finding a site for a spa in downtown Indianapolis.

Woodhouse's Carmel location, in the Merchants Square shopping center between 116th Street and Carmel Drive just west of Keystone Avenue, also will continue to operate, said General Manager Danielle Ireland.

Woodhouse offers a variety of services ranging from microdermabrasion to massages.
