UPDATE: Contest closed. Winner soon to be announced on the blog. Thanks for the response.
No arm twisting was involved in getting me to say "yes" to the invitation by Indiana Grand Casino to play in a celebrity poker tournament on Sept. 12. The challenge, though, was figuring out what charity would get the $1,000 prize if I manage to knock out the likes of Slick Leonard, Rik Smits, Mel Daniels and more. If I manage to win the whole tourney, that number could grow to $11,000.
So I'm going to let you decide whom I'll be playing for. I'm narrowing the field to central Indiana not-for-profit arts groups but, from there, it's up to you.
Simply enter below and name the arts group you'd like me to represent. As a nominator, you can only nominate one; I'll be thinning out entries that come from the same source. But if 10 people nominate a group, that's 10 chances for that group to be picked.
One entry will be randomly selected on Aug. 5 and I'll post that pick on my blog.
Then we'll see what happens at the tables on Sept. 12.
Good luck.
