John Mellencamp announced that his "Plain Spoken" tour will include 80 shows in 2015, beginning Jan. 21 at the Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend and ending Aug. 4 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Two Bloomington dates are also on the schedule Feb. 3-4 at Indiana University Auditorium.
Opening act is Carlene Carter, country singer and daughter of a pre-Cash June Carter.
Mellencamp will also bring the tour to Old National Events Plaza in Evansville (May 27) and Embassy Theatre in Ft. Wayne (June 6).
Indiana fans who still want to get back in time for work the next day can also see him in Louisville (Jan. 23), Cincinnati (Jan. 24), Columbus, OH (Jan. 30), and/or Chicago (Feb. 17-18).
Tickets for all shows (except New York dates at Carnegie Hall and the Apollo Theater) go on sale Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. Buying tickets also scores patrons a digital download of his new "Plain Spoken" disc.
