Roundup: Patrick’s closing in Zionsville; Matt’s Wine Bar debuts in Carmel

A well-known downtown Zionsville restaurant is closing at the end of the year.

Patrick’s Kitchen and Drinks recently announced on its Facebook page that its last day of operations will be Saturday.

“We had a plan for the restaurant, but sadly, it is not to be. We are so grateful for our loyal guests….thank you for your support, encouragement, love, and patronage,” the Facebook post read.

The restaurant opened in June 2007 in the Boone Village Shopping Center and moved to the Brick Street Inn at 175 S. Main St. in December 2011. Lunch and dinner were served daily and brunch was offered on weekends.

Owners Patrick Mullen and Beth Dickerson will continue to operate Patrick’s Smokehouse Kitchen at Danny Boy Beer Works in Carmel.

The eatery in the Village of West Clay opened in May and offers a menu with pulled pork nachos, baby back ribs and smokehouse cheddar burgers. Two smokers are used for the barbeque.

According to a Facebook post by Patrick’s, the Carmel location could serve brunch by the end of January.

• The Matt the Miller’s Tavern expansion was recently completed with the opening of Matt’s Wine Bar.

Dublin, Ohio-based CLB Restaurants closed its Langton’s Pub & Grille in Carmel’s City Center in August to provide space for the new wine-focused venture. The second floor of the former Langton’s was transformed for the wine bar, which offers open seating and 24 premium wines that can be sampled in 2-, 4- and 6-ounce pours.

• Bar Louie plans to open at 1111 W. Main St. in Carmel. The restaurant will be part of the $30 million Olivia on Main development. Bar Louie has four other locations in the state: Greenwood, Evansville, Merrillville and Mishawaka.

• Jason’s Deli plans to occupy the building formerly used by Stacked Pickle at 11621 Fishers Station Drive in Fishers, near the corner of Allisonville Road and 116th Street.

Stacked Pickle moved earlier this year to a former Bagger Dave’s Burger Tavern space at 13204 Market Square Drive in the Fishers Marketplace.

Jason’s Deli is currently located at 12405 N. Meridian St. in the Hamilton Crossing Centre in Carmel, but owner Kite Realty Group Trust plans to redevelop part of the center into a movie theater and bowling alley.

The space occupied by Jason’s Deli is expected to be part of the renovation, and a spokeswoman for the company confirmed that the location would close and reopen elsewhere.

• Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is now open at 2740 E. 146th St. in Westfield. The frozen treat and burger shop is in a former Bagger Dave’s Burger Tavern space.

The fast-casual franchise is designed to recall American life in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The menu includes steakburgers, hot dogs, shoestring fries and chocolate and vanilla frozen custard.

• Just to the east of Freddy’s, Carmel Eyecare recently opened at 2792 E. 146th St.

• Sandwich chain Which Wich has filed plans to open a 1,390-square-foot store at 8350 E. 96th St. in Fishers. It would be the second Fishers location. Which Wich is also open in Carmel and Noblesville.

• Orangetheory Fitness is expanding its presence to the far west side of Hamilton County. The fitness center plans to open at 4000 W. 106th St. off Michigan Road, near Zionsville.

It already has locations in at Geist Landing retail center in Fishers and in the Cool Creek Commons development in Carmel.

• Natural health and wellness store My Father’s Garden of Health has relocated in Westfield from 106 N. Union St. to 201 Mill St.

• A bridal boutique has opened in Carmel’s City Center. Kay Zaidi, owner of Carmel Tailoring & Fine Clothier, opened Leena’s Bridal Boutique on Dec. 1.

• Blue Butterfly Furnishings & Finds has opened at 164 N. 10th St. in Noblesville. The vintage and antique store was previously located in Carmel.
