“As You Like It”
IndyShakes (formerly Heartland Actors Repertory Theatre) returns to the park for another outdoor Shakespeare comedy. In case you are a newcomer to the forest of Arden—the play’s setting—this one concerns a young woman who disguises herself as a man after being exiled. For the audience, however, dress is casual for the bring-your-own-picnic professional production. Food trucks and a pre-show band will be on hand as well. July 27-29 White River State Park Details

Former American Ballet Theatre principal dancers Irina Dvorovenko and Maxim Beloserkovsky are featured in a special performance at this benefit for the Indiana Ballet Conservatory. Also on the bill: performances by students in modern, ballet, and contemporary work. July 27 The Palladium Details
“After Dark: ‘80s Pop!”
For those interested in experiencing the Children’s Museum without those pesky kids around, here’s your chance. The focus will be on the recent exhibition additions “Dance!” and “American Pop” (see my review here). Visitors are encouraged to sport attire from the 1980s.
