The Fishers organization announced the new lineup of holiday events and programs Thursday.
Visitors will be able to stroll through historical holiday celebrations in Prairietown; take wagon rides through the decorated grounds and tube on a dry tubing hill at Conner Prairie.
“The holidays are always a special time at Conner Prairie filled with joy and excitement of the season,” Norman Burns, President and CEO at Conner Prairie, said in written comments. “It’s a time of spreading goodwill and building memories with those you love. This year we’re excited to give the gift of new experiences that will bring the whole community together on our historic property.”
Other events and features include an early New Year’s Eve celebration, a vintage outdoor carousel and performances by local musicians, dancers and performers.
The new events join existing indoor holiday programming, including Breakfast and Dinner with Santa, Storytime with Mrs. Claus and Santa’s Workshop in the Makesmith Workshop.
Guests can also buy holiday gifts at the Conner Prairie Museum store, which will also be open during the events.
Dates, times and other specific details are still being worked out and will be released later in the year, director of public affairs Christine DeJoy told IBJ.
Conner Prairie spans more than 1,000 wooded acres along Allisonville Road and welcomes more than 400,000 visitors annually.
