Funny! And Indy has never named a street after Dave Letterman, one of our most famous personalities. But we have plenty of not so famous names.
There is a Letterman Ave. on Fort Harrison where the former hospital was located (now the site of Army, Navy, and Marine Reserve Centers), named for Major Jonathan Letterman (December 11, 1824 – March 15, 1872), the “Father of Battlefield Medicine”. Some sources indicate that the two are related.
