  1. Allen Co is estimated to have about 82% of the population vaccinated against measles. More like 95% is needed for herd immunity. Because of relentless lies about the safety and efficacy of vaccines for decades, about 13% of the population is putting 100% of the community in danger.

    1. Thankfully measles is mostly harmless: it wasn’t a running joke in “Brady Bunch” for a reason. Perhaps its more virulent today because people with weakened immune systems–after all those vaccines–are ore susceptible? Not saying this is for certain; just speculating. Measles was nothing but a mild inconvenience when the boomers were young; now the legacy media is treating it like a modern scourge.

      I got the MMR vaccine. But lots of people who are really dumb believe public health messaging isn’t corrupt (sweet summer children that they are), and that a few measles cases should elicit mass hysteria. Weird! Weird.

      Maybe, to help your intellectual inferiors become more trustful of vaccines, you should actively encourage Big Pharma to subject itself to heavily surveilled testing of efficacy of some of the latest jabs they want to roll out on the populace. It’ll help allay the fears of these dumb anti-vax yokels who are “putting 100% of the community in danger” (not how inoculation works, but oh well). Anyway, Big Pharma seems awfully resistant to such scrutiny. Hmm, I wonder why that is?

    2. Lauren, tell the families of the 2 kids (so far) who’ve died of measles in Texas that its “mostly harmless.” I’m not sure that dismissing the seriousness of this because it was a joke in a sitcom from 50 years ago is in the best interest of the public. Did you know that every single study that Big Pharma or any other research institution has conducted is available to review on clinicaltrials.gov and various journals? And that the data presented in those journals then get reviewed by other experts in the field? Your echo chamber might not be aware of how clinical research is conducted, but children shouldn’t have to suffer due to your ignorance. Big Pharma isn’t resistant to scrutiny, it is quite literally the most scrutinized industry on the planet. Maybe you’re resistant to using the resources available to you to make informed decisions in the name of “skepticism.”
