  1. This absolutely will NOT make our schools safer. There is only one reason we are having horrific problems with gun violence in this country, and other Western democracies are not. The people of Canada, UK, etc., have the same issues with mental health, the same moral failings, access to the same social media and video games and entertainment, but they don’t have mass shootings every week, or people getting shot when accidentally ringing the wrong doorbell or approaching the wrong car in the parking lot. Why? Because we’re the only place that has allowed guns to outnumber people, the only place that won’t even try to keep military-grade weapons limited to the military. It’s insanity.

  2. Unbelievable! Maybe fund resource officers instead?! Teachers do NOT want guns! They want a safe work environment for themselves and their students. Guns in the hands of civilians do NOT equal safety. This is despicable.
