Trump’s Postmaster General choice from 2017, is still around, and his idea of an efficient USPS is backfiring. Bigly.
Democrats gained control of the postal service board in 2018 under Biden . The Board could have fired TRUMP’s postmaster General pick ,Dejoy then ! But they were bringing in so much money fund raising off his destruction of the Postal service they failed to replace him thinking about raising money off of his presence
Charles – OR the Biden administration realizes that firing every single leader in government at once is a bad way to lead and causes years of rippling problems…. and realized there were bigger fish to fry.
But yes, lets blame Biden because he did not undo every single decision trump made like a toddler…
They’re going to privatize the USPS. Need to slowly dismantle it from the inside out first.
Wouldn’t the simple solution to saving money be to cut deliveries down from six days a week to three? It could be phased in over several years and would eventually cut the number of letter carriers in half!
Most countries realized that the economic benefits of having a reliable and efficient way to deliver stuff was good for the economy and that if it cost a little more to run than it takes in, then it’s still a plus for the country as a whole. This has been the thinking since the 1800’s.
It never was supposed to be a money making business and even if it were privatized, costs will instantly go up by at least 8-10% just to create the expected corporate profit margin.
