Parental leave IS important. Additionally, one (of many) ways we could see the sector be less male-focused is if there were quality parental leave plans. It saddens me to hear anyone say this is not a primary concern. If you want to hire more mid to senior level talent (and retain them), parental leave is of huge importance — in all sectors, but especially in tech. It is short-sighted to say this is a nice bonus and not something companies should be thinking about — and talking about — when it comes to recruiting and hiring.
