Local real estate veteran Rebecca Wells has joined the local office of Lee & Associates as part of the brokerage’s efforts to grow its capital markets team in the Midwest.
During her more than 23-year career, Wells has executed more than $1 billion of investment sale transactions on behalf of institutions, real estate investment trusts, developers and private clients.
“I am excited to collaborate with the top-notch professionals at Lee & Associates and to grow the capital markets platform,” Wells said in a prepared statement. “This new partnership will allow Lee & Associates to expand its capabilities as a full-service provider for existing and new clients in the Midwest, a key requirement for many investors in today’s environment.”
Wells joins Lee & Associates as a senior vice president. Previously, she was an executive vice president in the capital markets division at JLL, joining the firm in 2013. She also spent nearly 12 years at Cushman & Wakefield, as a part of its capital markets team, when the firm was known as Cassidy Turley.
Wells earned her bachelor’s degree in finance-real estate from Indiana University and is a past president of the Indiana CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) chapter. She also is a former adjunct lecturer at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in Bloomington.
With 17 licensed brokers, Lee & Associates is the Indianapolis-area’s seventh-largest commercial real estate brokerage.
Orange, California-based Lee & Associates arrived in Indianapolis in 2010, via a merger with Harding Dahm & Co., giving the national player a presence in the state. The local office is led by Scot Courtney.
Founded in 1979, Lee has 56 offices and 900 brokers spread throughout the country, with 400 of those focusing on industrial deals.
In early September, Lee & Associates’ local office announced that it was expanding its industrial division by doubling the number of brokers it devotes to the industry.
