Todd Young
Bio
Since joining the Senate in 2017, Todd Young has offered conservative solutions and built bipartisan coalitions to address the biggest issues facing Hoosier families.
He 2022, he authored the CHIPS and Science Act, landmark legislation that is bringing semiconductor production back to the United States to shore up our supply chain and ensure America is never dependent on China for critical chips.
Todd graduated from the United States Naval Academy with honors in 1995 and accepted a commission in the U.S. Marine Corps. In 2000, Todd was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps as a Captain. While serving in the Marines and working as a business consultant, Todd earned an MBA and his law degree.
In 2010, he ran for Congress and served three terms representing Indiana’s 9th District. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2016. He currently serves on the Senate Committees on Finance; Intelligence; Commerce, Science & Transportation; and Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
Todd married his wife Jenny in 2005. Today, they reside in Johnson County, Indiana with their four children: a son, Tucker, and three daughters, Annalise, Abigail and Ava.

Sooyeon Jeong
Bio
Sooyeon Jeong is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Purdue University. Her research focuses on designing and deploying interactive AI agents that can improve people's lives by providing personalized support based on each user's needs, traits, and behaviors. She deploys these agents "in-the-wild" to evaluate how they build relationships/rapport with people over time and improve their wellbeing, health and learning. She aims to build relational technologies to be more than just tools and become helpful companions for people by continuously adapting themselves to help users achieve their health goals.
Sooyeon received a S.B. and a M.Eng. from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), and a S.M. and a Ph.D in Media Arts and Sciences from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Purdue, she spent one year as a NIH National Research Service Award (NRSA) Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Behavioral Intervention Technologies (CBITs) in Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Edmond Soliday
Bio
Representative Ed Soliday was employed by United Airlines for over 35 years holding several positions from Pilot and Flight Manager to Vice President of Safety Quality Assurance and Security. Captain Soliday was also responsible for crisis management during 9/11 at United. While serving as a line pilot for United, he also served as President and Chief Executive of Kid’s Alive International, a group of international children's homes.
As an attack helicopter pilot in the United States Army, Representative Soliday earned the Distinguished Flying Cross, two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart for his service.
During his career at United, he made multiple significant contributions to safety including the development of emergency response methodologies, and Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning Device development and Safety Management Systems.
Soliday served on numerous aviation safety related advisory boards and commissions including the International Air Transportation Association Flight Safety Committee, the Executive Board of the Flight Safety Foundation, and the NASA Aviation Safety Program Executive Panel.
Among his awards are the Indiana Aviation Hall of Fame, Bendix Trophy for Aviation Safety, the Vanguard Trophy and the Laura Tabor Barbour International Air Safety Award, Federal Bureau of Investigation and Federal Aviation Administration Distinguished Service Awards. In 2009, the Commercial Aviation Safety Team, of which Captain Soliday was the founding co-chair, received the prestigious Collier Trophy for reducing the commercial aviation fatal accident rate by 83% in 10 years, which is the longest period without a commercial aviation fatality in the history of the industry.
After retiring from United Airlines, Representative Soliday was elected to the Indiana House of Representatives in 2006 were he served as a chairman of the House Roads and Transportation Committee until 2011 where he then became chair of the House Utilities, Energy and Telecommunications Committee, and committee member of the House Elections and Apportionment Committee and the Governor’s Security Council.
While in the legislature he received the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Government Official of the year Trophy, the ACEC Gus Grissom trophy, The Indiana Constructors Trophy, The Telecommunications Association Award, and twice received both the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns Outstanding Legislator Trophy and Farm Bureau Legislator of the Year. Soliday also received the Northwest Indiana Building and Construction Trades Council Service to Labor, The Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters Voice of Labor, and several other legislator of the year awards.
Representative Soliday has been married to his wife, Mary, since 1969. Ed and Mary have two grown children and two grandchildren. They grew up in and have been residents of Porter County for over 50 years. They attend Liberty Bible Church.

Nate Feltman is President & CEO of IBJ Media, parent company of the Indianapolis Business Journal, Inside Indiana Business and the Indiana Lawyer.
Nate began his career as a corporate lawyer working in Moscow, Russia in the 1990s, then as a partner at Chicago and Indianapolis based law firms where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and
economic development.
Nate worked in economic development for Governor Mitch Daniels and helped create the Indiana Economic Development Corporation in 2005 and served in Governor Daniels’ cabinet as Secretary of Commerce for the State of Indiana from 2007 – 2009.
Prior to his leadership role at IBJ Media, Nate served as co-owner and CEO of healthcare provider Home Health Depot.

Lesley Weidenbener is the editor of the Indianapolis Business Journal and Inside INdiana Business and assistant publisher of IBJ and the Indiana Lawyer. She oversees a staff of 20 reporters, editors and designers. She joined IBJ in 2015 as managing editor after more than 20 years covering government and politics for The Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne, Indiana; The Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky; and TheStatehouseFile.com at Franklin College in Indiana, where she was editor and led a staff of student journalists. She started her career at The Independent Mail in Anderson, South Carolina, where she covered state and local government.
