The Indiana Osteopathic Association passed over a virtually certain $75 million in startup funding from Indiana Wesleyan University
to choose Marian University for its new osteopathic college.
The tiny Catholic institution in Indianapolis has $30 million raised toward new college that could train nearly half as many
students as the Indiana University medical school.
Marian University has received an anonymous $5 million gift to support student scholarships, the Indianapolis-based school
announced Wednesday.
Marian College wants to take over operation of the Major Taylor Velodrome from Indy Parks and make the facility a hub for
alternative transportation and Midwestern cycling.
