Inc. has reached an agreement to acquire all 32 BP convenience stores in the Indianapolis area. The buyer is an Anderson company that owns 29 Marathon and BP convenience stores, primarily in Fort Wayne and Anderson.
Ricker said yesterday that the BP franchise will continue at most of the locations, which are in Indianapolis and surrounding counties. The deal, financed by M&I Bank, is expected to close by the end of October. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Ricker also supplies fuel to 35 other stations in the state.
Owned by Anderson residents Jay and Nancy Ricker, Ricker Oil also sells pop under the Ricker Pop brand.
