Todd Lugar, a nephew of U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar, has been named president of Fundex Games Ltd., a Plainfield company that produces toys and games.
Lugar, 47, most recently was a director at Indianapolis investment bank Periculum Capital Co. LLC.
Prior to the Periculum post, Lugar operated the Lugar family business, Thomas L. Green & Co. He oversaw the 2001 sale of the historic Indianapolis bakery-equipment manufacturer to Reading Bakery Systems of Robesonia, Penn.
Fundex CEO Carl “Chip” Voigt said he split off his duties as president, leaving Lugar to oversee administration and work on strategic planning and acquisitions.
Voigt and Lugar have known each other since they were in the Beta Theta Pi fraternity at Purdue University. Lugar had worked with Fundex on some strategic partnerships, Voigt said.
Voigt wouldn’t disclose Fundex revenue, but said it exceeds $30 million a year. The company opened a headquarters early last year in Plainfield, where most of its 60 employees work. Fundex also has offices in Hong Kong and London.
The company’s products range from Alfredo’s Food Fight to the Phase 10 card game.
