Manchester
officials say they want to start a pharmacy school in Fort Wayne starting in the fall of 2012. The school’s board of trustees
took the first step toward creating the program on Saturday by voting to support the idea.
A location has not yet
been determined for the program, and officials will soon start preparing an application for accreditation.
Manchester
College is a private liberal arts and sciences school in North Manchester and has about 1,200 students. Purdue University
and Butler University also offer doctorate pharmacology programs in Indiana.
