The company said on Friday it earned $12.4 million, or 15 cents per share, on revenue of $349.6 million, for the quarter
ended Sept. 30. That compares to a profit of $23.2 million, or 29 cents per share, on revenues of $411.4 million during the
same period last year.
Vectren confirmed its earnings guidance for 2009 of $1.60 to $1.80 per share.
