Endress + Hauser Inc., one of Greenwood’s biggest employers, is planning a major expansion that will bring 234 jobs to Johnson
County.

Switzerland-based Endress + Hauser in October bought 22 acres next to its existing facility to accommodate the expansion.

Endress + Hauser plans to spend $68.8 million over the next eight years for a new building; renovating existing facilities;
and adding machinery, equipment and computer systems.

The new jobs — in engineering and marketing — will be added by 2016, company officials said.

Endress + Hauser, which has its U.S. sales and marketing headquarters in Greenwood, employs 274 at its campus near Pushville
Road and U.S. 31.

The company designs, makes and sells tools that measure temperatures, levels in tanks, and pressure in pipes.
